I'd like to Volunteer

Want to be involved with an amazing young person and be inspired by them?  Want to explore your own faith more deeply and help a teen reflect on the bigger issues of life and faith?  

​

If so, you might be called to serve as an Adult Friend.

​

Ideal Adult Friends will be:

  • Good listeners

  • Non judgmental

  • Encouraging

  • A person of solid Christian faith

  • Willing to learn about the lives of youth today

  • Open to deepening their own faith through their Youth Friend relationship

  • Intending to commit to at least one school year of involvement 

  • Virtus trained and compliant, including background check

Currently, we offer Friends in Faith at Bishop Ward High School in Kansas City, Kansas.  Adult Friends meet with their Youth Friend two Thursdays a month for lunch and discussion. We hope to offer it at other schools soon.  ​
